Full-duplex, 100Base, Ethernet link--over one fiber. Eliminate the second fiber, normally used by a full-duplex link. Cut fiber cost in half. Double bandwidth over existing duplex fibers with two multiplexed links.
Complies with IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-FX and 100BASE-TX Standards.

FULL DUPLEX: The Fiberdyne Labs Converter-Mux can help solve two problems; your Fast Ethernet distance problems, and your fiber-availability problems. These units are typically used in a long distance, full duplex network. In a full duplex environment, the Single-Mode supports distances up to 40 km.
STATUS INDICATORS:
The unit contains six LEDs. Their functions are as follows:
POWER	Media converter is connected to correct power source.
FX LINK	Fiber Receive port is properly connected to another device.
FX RCV	Unit is receiving valid data at the Fiber Receive port.
TP LINK	Twisted Pair interface is properly connected to another device.
TP RCV	Unit is receiving valid data at the Twisted Pair interface.
F-DUPLX	Unit is operating in Full Duplex Mode.
NOTES: 1. For link distances less than 5 km, a 3-dB attenuator is required. 2. For a complete link, one must order one ALPHA unit and one OMEGA unit.
