Introduction:

With the advent of gigabit networks, multimode fiber-(MMF) links are using laser transmitters. These transmitters do not fill the mode-structure of MMF, like LEDs. Therefore, traditional FBT (fused biconic taper), multimode couplers and splitters do not function correctly.

Fiberdyne announces the release of Laser Multimode couplers. These new couplers function correctly with the restricted mode structure of laser transmitters (e.g. VCSELs, vertical cavity surface emitting lasers), which are typically used in 1Gb and 10Gb multimode data links. Now, you can add monitoring to your high-speed, multimode links, using Fiberdyne Laser-optimized Multimode Couplers/Splitters.

  • Medium Duty (900 Micron) and Heavy Duty (3 mm Jacket)
