| The FD-FS Series of Optical Light Sources are hand-held, battery-powered, stabilized sources for fiber-optic testing.
Conceptual Usage:
Together with any Fiberdyne Labs' power meters, this team makes the perfect combination for accurately testing multimode or short-haul single-mode optical fiber systems, cable attenuation, and point-to-point connection verification.
Note: The multimode model, FD-FS8513A, operates at 850/1300nm. The
single-mode model, FD-FS1316, operates at 1310/1550nm.
Features:
- Low Power Consumption: Each source will operate for more than 20 hours on just two AA batteries.
- All units include a "Low batt" indicator to monitor the state of its AA batteries.
- CW,and 2 - KHz Modulation: Users can easily select between continuous wave (CW) or 2 - KHz modulation with the push of a single key.
- Stable Power: Each unit is factory set to launch at -20dBm with excellent stability over time.
- Single Key Operation: Ease of operation is provided for by single key entry for wavelength selection, and CW or 2 - KHz modulated frequency.

| The OLS 1-Dual features 850 nm and 1300 nm LED output from a single output port and is easy to operate with only a power button and a wavelength select button. This light source offers 3 modes of operation: Dual wavelengths sending ID, single wavelength sending ID, and CW. The output port is equipped with a removable SC (FC & ST available) adapter to allow the output connector to be inspected and cleaned. The LED output is stabilized to ensure accurate test results per current TIA/EIA requirements.

The OLS 4 Integrated, 2 Port LED & LASER Light Source is a cost effective, rugged handheld instrument designed for performing insertion loss measurements on multimode or singlemode fiber optic links when used with an optical power meter. When paired with an Optical Fiber Identifier, the OLS 4 may be used for fiber identification. The LED and LASER outputs are stabilized to ensure accurate test results per current TIA/EIA requirements.
